	The Posey Lateral Wedges are lightweight and provide both positioning support and comfort. Wedges can be easily placed in position unlike foam pillows and it is possible to turn the patient without assistance by using the Wedges. The Lateral Wedges are ideal for keeping-bed ridden patients repositioned, eliminating pressure points over the bony prominences and reducing the incidence of pressure ulcers. The unique construction of an outer vinyl mesh, breathable fabric shell and a Non-absorbent, polystyrene bead fill allows air to flow through the wedge, eliminating the discomfort of conventional foam pillows, which build up heat. All the Wedges feature a zippered closure, enabling beads to be added or removed for patient accommodation. Machine washable. One per package. Lateral Wedge - Medium Patients under 180lbs. 16"L x 6"W x 7"H Posey Lateral wedges are lightweight, polystyrene filled wedges that offer both positioning support and comfort. Lateral wedges are ideal for keeping bed-ridden patients repositioned to eliminate pressure points over bony prominences and thereby reducing the incidence of pressure ulcers. Posey's unique construction of an outer VINYL MESH, breathable fabric shell and a Non-absorbent, POLYSTYRENE BEAD fill allows air to flow through the wedge thereby eliminating discomfort often associated with conventional foam pillows, which do not breath and build up heat. The conformability of the bead fill design offers a better solution than pillows as Posey Lateral Wedges stay better positioned and will not compress like foam. Each lateral wedge features a zippered closure to allow the addition or removal of beads, as it may be desirable to change the amount of fill to better accommodate certain clients. Posey Lateral Wedges are also more cost effective than pillows as they can reduce nursing labor costs. With the lightweight Posey wedge it is possible to turn the patient without assistance. The Posey Lateral Wedge is easily placed in position unlike foam pillows, which compress and are difficult to keep in place.
